Dr Ahmed has invented a new bariatric operation in 2004 and published the long-term results in 2016. His operation avoids most of the side effects of gastric bypass and mini gastric bypass.
Dr Ahmed was the first surgeon in the UK to introduce techniques and procedures for esophago-gastric resectional surgery which produced much superior outcomes and allowed patients to go home safely after four days.
Dr Ahmed was an invited speaker teaching his innovations in many countries including UK, France, USA, Egypt and UAE.
